PPMate

This program has become a substitute for PCast,PPStream & PPLive networks. It has many great channels, such as Star Sports and Caifu (SipTV). It also allows you to record what you are watching! But Only works with Windows Media Player 9 or 10.

Install Version 2.0.0.41

Select to use English in the program installation so that makes it easy for us all. --> start the download --> Run installer --> make sure to select English --> and just follow the steps. In the end when you start PPMate you will be asked about the ISP. Just run the auto check, the fastest server will be selected then. China Netcom should be fine if you want to select it manually.

The Program

1.On the right hand side is your channel list. If you scroll down you will find Sport Channels, Movies Channels etc..
2.The tab next to channels is your Favourites. In there your recently used streams are kept.
3.To use a stream, double-click on it.

Functions

Recording

First set the folder to save your recordings to. To do this click the PPMate Record Foldern button. The from the drop-down, select Options. The third part of the window that opens if where you set the destination for your recorded material. Press OK.

After your stream has loaded, click the PPMate Record Start Stop button located on the bottom bar. This will begin recording. To stop just press it again.

Full Screen

Once a stream has loaded, double-click on the player screen. To exit Full Screen, press the Esc button.

You can also maximize your streaming quality by configuring the XP TCP patch. Setting it to 256 or higher should guarantee you good streaming quality.
