Ivory Coast 3-0 Mali

Mali threw away their chance to reach the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations after they were comprehensively beaten by Group B winners Ivory Coast.
The defeat meant Nigeria edged into the last eight despite being third in the group before Tuesday's crucial games.Didier Drogba opened the scoring with a smart finish on 10 minutes when he shot across goal from a Yaya Toure pass. The Elephants made it 2-0 from a corner when Marc Zoro nodded in and sealed it with a Boubacar Sanogo rebound.Ivory Coasts' reward for a perfect record in Group B is a quarter-final tie with Guinea in Sekondi on Sunday, meaning they avoid hosts Ghana.

Nigeria 2-0 Benin

Nigeria saved themselves from an embarrassing Cup of Nations exit with a crucial win over Benin in Group B.The Super Eagles' victory meant they edged past Mali on goal difference to set up an enticing last-eight tie with hosts and west-coast rivals Ghana.John Obi Mikel headed his side's first goal of the event early in the second half from Osaze Odemwingie's pass.Mikel then played in Yakubu Aiyegbeni who calmly slotted the Super Eagles' second on 86 minutes to seal the win.

Egypt 1-1 Zambia

Defending champions Egypt qualified for the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations as Group C winners despite drawing against Zambia in Kumasi.
Amr Zaki's close-range left-foot volley completed a sweeping team move to give Egypt the lead after 14 minutes. The Pharaohs went close again when Hosni Abd Rabou blazed over and Mohamed Aboutrika struck from distance.Zambia's equaliser came when Chris Katongo scored with two minutes left, shooting inside the near post.

Cameroon 3 - -0 Sudan

Samuel Eto'o became the top scorer in the history of the Africa Cup of Nations as Cameroon reached the last eight of the 2008 competition.
Eto'o's record-breaking 15th goal came from a penalty on 27 minutes and soon after Cameroon were 2-0 up following an own goal from Mohammed Ali Khider.Sudan improved after half-time and Cameroon keeper Idriss Carlos Kameni did well to save a series of shots.Late on Eto'o extended his record when he raced clear to slot the ball home. That third goal was a little unfair on the Sudanese, who staged a spirited second-half revival.

Tunisia 0-0 Angola

Angola made it through to the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals for the first time after a goalless draw with Tunisia in Tamale. Tunisia are also through to the last eight after topping Group D where they will play Cameroon. Angola face Egypt. Armine Chermiti came closest to scoring when the Tunisian headed wide of an open goal from a first-half free-kick. Angola's Flavio fluffed his side's best chance late in injury time when he shot tamely at the keeper from 15 yards.

Senegal 1-1 South Africa

Senegal and South Africa bowed out of the Africa Cup of Nations after playing out a competitive draw in Kumasi. The result meant neither team put any pressure on Angola and Tunisia whose goalless draw allowed them to progress. South Africa's Elrio van Heerden scored his second goal of the tournament on 14 minutes when he volleyed home a Teko Modise cross. Henri Camara equalised for Senegal after 37 minutes taking advantage of a defensive mistake to slot home.

GHANA 2 - 1 NIGERIA

Ghana came from behind to earn a semi-final place with victory over Nigeria in a game full of drama.Nigeria took the lead on 34 minutes through a Yakubu penalty, but Michael Essien's glancing header put the Black Stars level on the stroke of half-time.
Ghana were reduced to 10 men on the hour, as captain John Mensah was sent off for a professional foul. But Ghana continued to attack, and with eight minutes remaining, Junior Agogo's close-range finish gave them victory.

IVORY COAST 5 - 0 GUINEA

Ivory Coast cruised into the semi-finals, outclassing a young Guinea side who were not entirely disgraced.Kader Keita put the Elephants ahead in the first half, shooting from an acute angle after a run down the right. The other four goals came in the last 20 minutes as a fine Didier Drogba finish made it 2-0, then Salomon Kalou rounded the keeper to extend the lead.Kalou bagged his second from six yards out, and Bakary Kone's 20-yard thunderbolt completed the rout.

Tunisia 2 - 3 Cameroon

Four-time champions Cameroon will face hosts Ghana in Thursday's semi-final after an extra-time finish from Stephane Mbia knocked out Tunisia.Mbia knocked in Jean Epalle's flick on in the 92nd minute, after his header in the first half gave Cameroon the lead.Geremi's free-kick from close to 30 yards extended the Indomitable Lions' lead before Tunisia's Chaouki Ben Saada hit back with a free-kick of his own.
Yassine Chikhaoui struck from close in on 81 minutes to force extra-time.
The quarter-final in Tamale was a fascinating game as fine goals and a never-say-die attitude from both sets of players forced tactical changes from old-hands Roger Lemerre and Otto Pfister.

Egypt 2 - 1 Angola

A penalty from Hosny Abd Rabou and a goal from Amr Zaki put holders Egypt through to the semi-final of the Africa Cup of Nations to meet Ivory Coast.Abd Rabou converted his third spot-kick in Ghana on 20 minutes after Angola's Andre Macanga handled in the area.
Manucho hit back shortly after with a 25-yard thunderbolt to equalise in a scintillating game in Kumasi. But another defensive error from Kali allowed Zaki to score when he met a cross with his chest on 38 minutes. It was hard luck for the plucky Angolans who showed technique and tenacity for much of the game, not to mention fireworks from Manchester United's Manucho. However, the pedigree of the champions, who have not lost in the Nations Cup since 2004, proved too strong for Luis Goncalves' men.

Ghana 0 - 1 Cameroon

Cameroon reached their sixth Africa Cup of Nations final by dismissing hosts Ghana in a tightly-contested game.
Geremi hit the bar in the first half for Cameroon, but the Indomitable Lions barely threatened before substitute Alain Nkong slotted in on 71 minutes.
In the dying minutes Junior Agogo missed one of Ghana's best chances, putting a free header over the bar.
Cameroon defender Andre Bikey was sent off in the 90th minute for pushing a medical official to the ground.

Ivory Coast 1- 4 Egypt

Egypt will meet Cameroon in the final after stunning tournament favourites Ivory Coast in an engrossing contest.
Ahmed Fathi put the defending champions ahead on 12 minutes with a strike from the edge of the penalty area.
Amr Zaki made it 2-0 with a header after the break, but Kader Keita pulled a goal back a minute later with a stunning 25-yard strike.
Zaki scored another from the edge of the area, and Mohamed Aboutrika added the fourth in stoppage time.
Earlier Cameroon, who lost 4-2 to Egypt in their opening group game, beat Ghana 1-0.

Egypt 1-0 Cameroon.

Defending champions Egypt won a record sixth Africa Cup of Nations with a fully-deserved victory over Cameroon.
The only goal of the game came in the 77th minute, with Mohamed Aboutrika pushing home a Mohamed Zidan pass after a mistake by Cameroon's Rigobert Song.
The Pharaohs become the first side to win back-to-back titles twice, and Hassan Shehata only the second coach to win successive trophies.
Cameroon were seeking a fifth title, but rarely troubled the Pharaohs.
Egypt had much the better of the first half, creating most of the scoring chances with their mobility.Cameroon again based their game on physical power, taking a defensive approach that supplied few openings to lone striker Samuel Eto'o.Mohamed Aboutrika came close on 13 minutes, with a 35-yard shot that was pushed around the post by Cameroon goalkeeper Carlos Kameni. Two minutes later the Indomitable Lions were forced to make a substitution, with Gilles Binya replacing Alexandre Song, who was carrying an injury from the previous game.Cameroon defender Geremi forced a save from Essam Al-Hadari from a free-kick, but the Pharaohs almost took the lead seconds later.Hadari's clearance found Emad Moteab, whose 15-yard shot was parried brilliantly by Kameni, but into the path of Mohamed Aboutrika, whose shot was too high.Nine minutes before half-time a ball over the Cameroon defence found Moteab inside the area, Kameni made a fine save from the shot, and it remained goalless.Cameroon came back from the break with purpose, causing the tempo of the match to increase considerably, but Egypt quickly took control of the game again.
Kameni had to make two more fine saves, from a close-range Amr Zaki shot, then from Hosni Abd-Rabou's 25-yard cracker that he punched away.
The Pharoahs continued to pile on pressure, and Abd-Rabou hit the post with a header on 61 minutes. With 13 minutes remaining, Egypt finally got the goal they deserved.
Cameroon captain Rigobert Song was punished for untidy defending, losing a tussle with substitute Zidan.Zidan pushed the ball along the edge of the box into the path of Aboutrika, who had a simple finish from 15 yards.
As Egypt celebrated, Song covered his face with his shirt, knowing that he should have cleared the ball away.Song headed over the bar in stoppage-time, but there was to be no redemption for the defender, in his seventh Nations Cup.
Egypt won the first two editions of the tournament, in 1957 and 1959, but with the competition far more intense now, these victories have far greater significance.
Shehata's feat of two Cups in a row matched that of Ghana's CK Gyamfi, who won the tournament in 1963 and 1965.
Aboutrika's goal was the 99th of the tournament, which produced more goals than any other Nations Cup.
